Quick one today, and not the usual.

Last week we offered to build somebody a website for free. Plenty of you wrote in, the entries were better than we expected, and picking one was harder than it should have been.

Jeff Levy

Jeff has lived in Walnut Creek for forty years and has been a singer and songwriter for all of them. His entry ran four sentences, and one of them was this:

β€œNever made a dime and spent a lot on equipment, like most musicians.”

He has never had a website. He will have one shortly, and forty years of experience will finally have an address.

We will start on it shortly and will show it off here once it is live. If you wrote in and this is not your name above, thank you. We read all of them, and will still reach out with some free suggestions.

Also one other thing:

The Walnut Creek Chamber runs a Best of Walnut Creek every year, and voting closes Friday. The Walnut Creek Digest is up in the Advertising and Media category, alongside two glossy magazines, a radio station and about a dozen marketing agencies.

We do not have a sales team or an ad budget. What we have is you, twice a week. A vote takes about a minute.

That is it. The regular issue lands tomorrow morning as usual!

Thank you. Genuinely.
