Expect pop-up experiences, themed decorations, and interactive stops designed especially for kids and families wandering through downtown.

Events like this tend to turn an ordinary afternoon stroll into a little adventure, whether you're chasing photo opportunities with oversized spring props, browsing nearby shops, or just soaking up the atmosphere. Boundary Oak Golf Course

The Range at Boundary Oak is celebrating its one year anniversary, and they’re marking the occasion with a casual community event that mixes golf, food, and outdoor fun. There will be activities for both seasoned golfers and people who just enjoy hitting a few balls while breathing in the fresh air. Jump houses, DJ spinning music, face painting and more!

Anniversary events like this will bring giveaways and a friendly crowd of locals who appreciate having another sporting option in Walnut Creek.

📚 Friends of the Walnut Creek Library Book Sale

If you love coming home with a new stack of books, the Friends of the Walnut Creek Library Book Sale is back with thousands of gently used titles across every category you can think of. From fiction and cookbooks to kids books and history, it is part treasure hunt, part community tradition. The later “bag sale” is where things get especially fun, with shoppers filling a bag with books for a flat price. It’s a simple, feel-good way to support the library while leaving with some great new reads.

🐾 Paw-parazzi Pet Photo Contest

If your camera roll is already 90% your pet, then it’s time to start ‘hearting’ your favorites. Joybound’s Paw-parazzi Pet Photo Contest invites locals to submit their cutest dog or cat photo and rally friends to vote through small donations. It’s part friendly competition, part fundraiser, with top pets earning a feature in the 2027 Joybound calendar. Every vote helps support medical care, pet food programs, and community services for animals in need, so even casual participation makes an impact!
